CHANCROID
Its a bacterial sexually transmitted infection caused by the FASTIDIOUS GRAM NEGATIVE streptobacillus heamophilus ducreyi.

Its characterised by painful sores around the genitalia.

SYMPTOMS
*The sore presents with:

-painful sensations.
-range in size, dramatically from 3mm to 50mm.
-have ragged borders.
-sometimes pain with urination
-Painful intercourse in female.
-have a base that bleeds easily if traumatised.
-have sharply defined borders.

NOTE: about half of the infected gents presents only with a single sore, while ladies will present with 4-5 sores around the genitalia.

In gents, the sore will appear around the following regions:
-the prepuse orifice
-the penile shaft
-the perinual area.
-the urethral meatus.
-the glans penis.
-frenulum.
-coronal sulsus.

In ladies, the sore will present at the following regions:

-clitoris
-labia minora.
-labia majora.
-pereneal area.
-vestibule.
-inner thighs.
-fourchette


DIAGNOSIS
-signs and symptoms.
-lab tests for confirmation.

PREVENTION
-use condoms.
-abstinance.
