Also called vericella, is a highly contagious disease caused by the initial infection of the Vericella Zoster Virus (VZV).

SYMPTOMS:
- skin rushes characterised by small itchy blisters.
-tiredness
-headache
- malaise
-low grade fever.
- nausea

PREVENTION
-vaccination against zoster virus
-hygiene measures by isolating the affected one.

COMPLICATIONS
-brain damage
-eye damage
-neurological damage
-skin damage

TREATMENT REGIME
- calamine lotion to reduce symptoms.
- paractamol to reduce fever.
